Hi and welcome to HumanitiesAttic—the home of my random ramblings about various subjects in the humanities.  I am a hopefully soon-to-be-minted PhD, with a MA in Humanities and another in History who currently works as an adjunct instructor.  Now that my dissertation is mostly complete, I finally have the time to look into, and write about, the other areas of the humanities that call to me.  I love to talk about the cultural history of gardening, myths and legends (particularly nautical), fairy tales, pre-twentieth century fiction, fine art, watercolor painting, my very small humanities discoveries as I travel my state of Florida, and any other humanities bits and bobs that strike my fancy.  I hope you’ll enjoy what I’ve put together, and I’d love to hear what you think!

ps: I try to be conscientious about giving credit for any ideas I’ve borrowed, so please take a moment to cite me if you want to use anything you find here.  If you’re not sure, please feel free to drop me a line. 🙂
